| PTISI & DIASTIMA (Flight & Space) is a monthly magazine
covering aerospace and defence industry matters with a national and international scope. The first issue was published back in November of 1979, meaning that we are now celebrating our 20th Anniversary. This makes us the oldest aviation & defense magazine in Greece. During all these years we have succeeded in staying close to our primary goal: To give our readers the best and most up to date coverage of both the national and international scene. We feel proud that most of PTISI & DIASTIMA'S exclusive reports and articles still stand out as prototypes among the majority of magazines of this kind in Greece. During the past 20 years we had the privilege of being the only magazine in Greece that had the opportunity to fly with every single fighter plane in the Hellenic Air Force. We sat in the cockpits of the F-16, Mirage-2000, A-7, F-5, and F-104. But we never stopped spreading our wings. Flying in the cockpits of the F-15, Tornado, and AH-64 was a logical step in our effort to put our readers in the mainstream of modern combat aircraft. We flew during the day, but also during the night, discovering the advances of night vision aided flight. We flew singly and also in groups of up to 80 aircraft in formation flight, sometimes with a few hundred meters between us, and sometimes with just a few meters between us, like the Frecce Tricolori Aerobatic Team. We visited dozens of airbases all over the world to interview and take pictures of these special pilots flying in aircraft like the B-2, U-2, F-117, F-18, AC-130, Su-27 and MiG-29, and of course, those of the Top Gun. But these were just a part of our achievements. In our 20 years of worldwide coverage we participated and covered many major international exercises, like the Red Flag, and closely followed most major Operations, like Desert Storm. Our goal was to be as close as possible to the real action. So during the recent Operation Allied Force we went onboard the USS Roosevelt and followed its' operations in the Adriatic Sea. We visited Aviano AFB, and of course, we traveled to Kossovo. Our reputation and credibility were the key factors in our successful interviewing of many key-decision makers and opinion-leaders around the world. Political leaders, Ministers of Defense and Foreign Affairs, as well as Chiefs of General Staff were interviewed in our pages, presenting us with their views. As for Space, we believe we made good progress in our own effort to explore it! Interviewing Neil Armstrong, visiting Baikonur and participating in programs like West in Space were only a part of this never-ending effort. We at PTISI & DIASTIMA have some priorities: Our readers are our top one. Maybe this is the reason why 44.000 readers every month (according to an independent survey) trust us for their information on the worldwide aerospace and defense scene and the aerospace industry. | Home | Download Wallpapers | |
